Izzy Losi - Italian Teacher

Qualifications: Bachelor of Arts (Italian and Media Communications) - Australian Catholic University

Master of Teaching (Secondary) - The University of Melbourne

Ciao a tutti, mi chiamo Isabella (better known as Izzy).

I first fell into a deep admiration of Italy, it’s culture and language when I first had the opportunity to travel there on a school trip aged 16. I then stayed to live with my father’s relatives in Tuscany. I have been a registered teacher for 5 years and I enjoy seeing students faces light up when they link the dots with language. I have worked in a range of secondary and primary schools from country Victoria to Melbourne. I enjoy forming happy working relationships with my students so they feel comfortable in my classroom. I love coming across new things every time I teach a topic.

I am also a pianist, singer-songwriter and a professional performing and working musician/recording artist. I have recently started writing educational songs in Italian to use in the classroom. I am also the current music co-ordinator at Courthouse Youth Arts, developing opportunities in music for Geelong youth.

I have been warmly welcomed by both staff and students at Christ the King this year and have enjoyed becoming part of this wonderful community.
